What makes you a good caregiver?
“My love for the elderly is what made me a caregiver. What makes me a good caregiver is the dedication I have toward caring for them. I believe it is important to have patience and understanding when working with the elderly, it only makes your job better.”
In what skills area do you feel most qualified to be a caregiver?
“I've gained experience in various types of health conditions such as Palliative, Frail, Mental and Physical Disability care, as well as nanny care, and other requirements from my years of experience working at frail care facilities and hospitals. I’m comfortable and experienced in PEG feeding and post-operative care, as well as wound monitoring and pressure care.”
What makes you most excited about working with seniors?
“The best part about working with seniors is the great stories they have to tell, as well as the knowledge they give. They are so wise, the advice they give always helps me.”
What was your best day at work and what made it good?
“There is no specific best day at work for me, the best days are when my patients recover. Knowing that I was able to assist my patient gain independence or better their quality of life makes me feel good, that is the reason we do this.”
