What makes you a good caregiver?
"I'm deeply compassionate and nurturing, with experience as a Pre-School Teacher. I excel in patience, active listening, and communication. I'm actively seeking a caregiver role to continue growing personally and professionally, drawing from past experience with diverse individuals, including those in frail care, dementia, and disabilities during practical training.’’

Your best day at work you’ve ever had and what made it so good.

"When I begin my shift, the joy and warm welcome I receive from the residents as I enter the gate truly brighten my day. Their smiles are priceless, and they eagerly inquire about which area I'll be working in that day, inviting me to join them. Experiencing these moments daily is incredibly gratifying, as it reaffirms that they are receiving the excellent care they deserve."

What makes you most excited about working with seniors?
"I have a genuine fondness for the residents' stories, even if it means patiently repeating things often. Engaging in activities like playing games, assisting with knitting, and dancing to music with them creates moments that are truly invaluable and heartwarming."

In what skills area do you feel most qualified to be a Caregiver?

“Being a loving caregiver involves possessing an understanding of the residents, showing respect, compassion, and unwavering patience. I find great fulfillment in caring for the elderly because, much like children, they appreciate a sympathetic listener and someone who is adaptable to their needs.”

What is something special / unique about you that not many people might know or that might surprise them?
"
In addition to brightening their lives and offering prayers, I've also learned the importance of these gestures during my practical training and the few months I've spent at Serendipity Home. I've been able to make a positive impact on the residents, and their happiness in seeing me after my days off is a testament to the difference I've made in their lives."
