What makes you a good caregiver?

‘‘I am passionate about my job and helping people eases my soul. I love being the extra hand in a patients healing process and I believe that I am a good caregiver, because I am not just focusing on my work but I try and engage with the elderly to ease them as well.’’

Your best day at work you’ve ever had and what made it so good.

“Taking care of the elderly, I feel happy while engaging with them and helping with the healing process. I feel worried if they not corresponding with me, then I know there's something troubling them.”

In what skills area do you feel most qualified to be a caregiver?

“It is being the helping hand in getting them what they may need at the time or being the helping hand in their healing process.”

What makes you most excited about working with seniors?

“ It was the day I took a client who recently had an operation to the dining room to have breakfast, while she was eating the spoon she was using fell on the floor, when I came to check on her found her trying to bend to pick it up, I came and helped her, she could have been injured again for she had an hip replacement operation.’’

What’s the most interesting thing about you that we don’t know from your resume?

‘‘I work well with people, I am able to improvise. I'm interested in learning new things.’’
