Tell us more about yourself and why you have decided to pursue a career in Early Childhood Development:

“I've always had a deep affection for children, which led me to work at a Day Care in the past. I was employed as a Teacher Assistant at a primary school as well, whereby I was working closely with young learners and gained invaluable insights. Witnessing their growth and the sheer delight in their eyes when they grasp new concepts is what fuels my passion for a career in Early Childhood Development.”

In what skills area do you feel most qualified to be a childcare provider?

“I feel most qualified in toddler care and child care. My skills include baby bath, solid and soft foods, bottle feeding, colic care, nappy changes, baby routines, playtime/tummy time, and sleep monitoring. Additionally, I specialise in facilitating communication, daily activities, and mental stimulation.”

What is - from your point of view - the typical role and responsibilities of a childcare provider in an early childhood development field?
”In my perspective, the role and responsibilities of a childcare provider in the early childhood development field entail dedicating full attention to the child. As their teacher, you play a crucial role in helping the child discover new things and observing their explorations. You are responsible for their well-being throughout the day and must also provide guidance and support as they learn and grow.”
