Tell us more about yourself and why you have decided to pursue a career in Early Childhood Development:
“I began my journey in Early Childhood Development by volunteering at Mighty Minds, a local creche in Heideveld, right after completing matric. My passion for working with children was ignited during my childhood as I watched my mother care for kids, and I eagerly assisted her whenever I could. Witnessing the transformation of infants into toddlers who can express themselves, choose where to play, and interact with others fills my heart with joy. It's this beautiful growth in children that motivates me to pursue a career in Early Childhood Development.”
What is - from your point of view - the typical role and responsibilities of a childcare provider in an early childhood development field?
”The aim is to foster independence in students and equip them for the world they'll eventually step into. Additionally, it's essential to ignite their curiosity and enthusiasm by delivering engaging and captivating lessons that pique their interest in the subject matter. This approach encourages them to seek out further knowledge about the topics being discussed.”
