What makes you a good companion?
I am a patient and kind individual, and I derive genuine joy from spending time with older people. Knowing that I am contributing value and providing assistance and companionship to an older person is highly rewarding to me.
Your best day at work you’ve ever had and what made it so good.?
I sat with an elderly lady under my care, savoring moments while going through photographs and enjoying a cup of tea together. We exchanged stories of her fondest memories, and I had brought along a delightful cake that we both savored during our time together.
In what skills area do you feel most qualified to be a companion?
I have experience working as a carer in the UK and as an au pair in Johannesburg. I have a genuine passion for being of service and providing assistance, whether it's offering companionship, preparing meals, or fulfilling any other necessary tasks. My patience and nurturing nature make me well-suited for this role.
What makes you most excited about working with seniors?
The satisfaction I derive from knowing that I am enriching their lives, alleviating loneliness, and contributing to their overall well-being by making their days more engaging and productive is incredibly fulfilling.
What’s the most interesting thing about you that we don’t know from your resume?
I'm not particularly comfortable with public speaking or being in large crowds during social gatherings. I much prefer spending time with a small group or engaging in one-on-one interactions.
