Welcoming a new addition to your family is a joyous occasion, but it can also bring about new challenges, especially when it comes to finding reliable childcare assistance.

As a team of mothers at CareChamp, we understand the unique needs of families, which is why we offer comprehensive child care placement services tailored to your specific requirements.

Let’s Talk

Our Approach:

Personalized Matching: We recognize that every family is unique, and so are their childcare needs. Our dedicated team takes the time to understand your family dynamics, preferences, and requirements to match you with a nanny who fits seamlessly into your home environment.

Stringent Screening Process & In-house accredited training college: Your peace of mind is our priority. That's why we rigorously vet all our nannies through background checks, reference verification, and in-person interviews to ensure they meet our high standards of professionalism, reliability, and expertise in childcare. Our accredited college trains Early Childhood Development Practitioners (NQF4) through a comprehensive one-year program, ensuring top-notch care for your little ones.

Flexible Options: Whether you want to find a long-term nanny to join your family OR you need temporary assistance during a busy period, occasional help for special events, or a short-term nanny for a specific duration, we offer flexible placement options to accommodate your schedule and preferences.

How It Works:

  1. Consultation: Get started by scheduling a consultation with one of our experienced care consultants. During this session, we'll discuss your childcare needs, preferences, and any specific requirements you may have.

  2. Matching Process: Based on the information gathered during the consultation, we'll conduct a thorough search to identify potential nanny candidates who align with your criteria. We'll then present you with curated profiles for your consideration.

  3. Interview & Selection: Once you've reviewed the profiles, we'll arrange interviews with the selected candidates, allowing you to assess their suitability firsthand. After conducting interviews, you can choose the nanny who best fits your family's needs.

  4. Placement & Support: Upon selecting your preferred nanny, we'll facilitate the placement process and ensure a smooth transition for both you and the caregiver. Throughout the placement period, we remain available to provide ongoing support and assistance as needed.

In case of temporary / recurring bookings, our friendly office team - and specifically your dedicated care agent - handles everything from placements to care reports and client interactions ongoing. We believe no question is too much, and we’re always ready to help.

NANNY DUTIES

    1. Daily Routine and Structure: Establishing and maintaining a consistent daily schedule that includes meal times, naps, playtime, and educational activities to provide a sense of security and stability for the toddler.

    2. Nutrition and Meal Preparation: Planning and preparing nutritious meals and snacks that meet the dietary needs of the toddler, ensuring they receive a balanced diet to support their growth and development.

    3. Health and Safety: Ensuring a safe environment by childproofing the home, monitoring the toddler during activities, and being prepared to handle minor injuries and emergencies. This also includes maintaining good hygiene practices, such as regular hand washing.

    4. Developmental Activities: Engaging the toddler in age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. This includes reading, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and educational games.

    5. Emotional Support and Guidance: Providing nurturing and affectionate care, offering comfort and reassurance, and helping the toddler develop emotional regulation skills. This includes teaching them how to express their feelings and interact positively with others.

    6. Communication with Parents: Maintaining open and regular communication with the parents about the toddler’s progress, daily activities, and any concerns. This includes keeping a daily log or providing updates to ensure parents are informed and involved in their child's care.

    1. Feeding and Nutrition: Preparing and feeding the baby breast milk or formula according to the parents' guidelines and ensuring the baby is fed on a consistent schedule. This includes burping the baby after feedings to prevent discomfort.

    2. Diapering and Hygiene: Changing diapers regularly to keep the baby clean and comfortable, and maintaining proper hygiene practices such as washing hands before and after diaper changes and ensuring the baby’s skin stays healthy.

    3. Sleep Management: Establishing and following a sleep routine to ensure the baby gets adequate rest. This includes safe sleep practices, swaddling to provide comfort and security, and creating a soothing sleep environment. Swaddling can help babies feel secure and sleep better, especially in the early months.

    4. Bathing:

Sponge Baths: Giving sponge baths to newborns until the umbilical cord stump falls off and heals, ensuring gentle cleaning without submerging the baby in water.

Tub Baths: Transitioning to tub baths once the umbilical cord stump has healed, ensuring the water is at a safe temperature and the baby is securely supported during the bath.

    5. Developmental Stimulation: Engaging the baby in age-appropriate activities to stimulate their development, such as tummy time, gentle play, singing, and talking to encourage sensory and cognitive growth. Incorporating infant massage can also promote bonding and aid in the baby’s physical and emotional development.

    6. Health and Special Care:

Health and Safety: Ensuring the baby's safety by adhering to safe sleep practices, monitoring the baby closely, and being aware of potential hazards. Knowing basic first aid and infant CPR to handle emergencies is crucial.

Special Conditions: Providing care for babies with reflux, colic, or other special conditions by following specific guidelines to manage symptoms, such as feeding in an upright position for reflux or using soothing techniques for colic. Being attentive to any medical advice or requirements for babies with special health conditions.

    1. Assistance with Mobility: Helping the new mom with getting in and out of bed, sitting down and standing up, and walking around to promote circulation and aid in recovery. Providing support during daily activities to reduce the risk of straining the incision site.

    2. Hygiene and Personal Care:

Sitz Bath or Shower Assistance: Preparing a sitz bath or assisting with showers to ensure the mom can maintain personal hygiene comfortably. Ensuring the bath or shower area is safe and the water temperature is appropriate.

Changing Bedpans: Assisting with the use of bedpans or providing help with trips to the bathroom to ensure the mom can manage her hygiene needs safely and comfortably.

    3. Meal Preparation: Planning and preparing nutritious meals and snacks to support the mom’s recovery and provide her with the necessary energy and nutrients. Ensuring meals are easily accessible and cater to any dietary restrictions or preferences.

    4. Light Housekeeping: Assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as tidying up, laundry, washing dishes, and keeping the living area clean and organized. This helps create a comfortable and stress-free environment for the new mom.

    5. Emotional and Practical Support: Providing emotional support and companionship to help the mom feel cared for and less isolated. Offering practical assistance with baby care, such as feeding, diaper changes, and soothing the baby, to allow the mom to rest and recover.
