Tell us more about yourself and why you have decided to pursue a career in Early Childhood Development:
"I grew up in an area where ECD centers were scarce, and many children lacked social support and basic resources to pursue their dreams. I chose a career in ECD because I want to be the teacher who inspires children, especially when they feel like giving up. I aim to motivate them and help them realize that no circumstance can stop them from achieving their dreams."
What is - from your point of view - the typical role and responsibilities of a childcare provider in an early childhood development field?
"A childcare provider must be loving and approachable, creating a safe space for children to communicate. Once a child enters your ECD center, you take on a parental role, supporting them in every aspect of their development."
In what skills area do you feel most qualified to be a childminder?
"Effective communication which is asking questions, actively listening, and addressing concerns with patience."
What makes you excited to work with children?
"Watching children grow and develop their confidence, transforming from introverts to excited extroverts, and the joy they express when they give the correct answer is truly rewarding."
